Affordable Alternatives to Polypropylene Containers

Are you finding it hard to get rigid, polypropylene food packaging lately? You’re not alone.

The price of polypropylene continues to increase to unprecedented levels, and suppliers are struggling to keep up with demand. Polypropylene supplies getting more expensive. And it’s hard to get it even if you can afford it.

But, as Plato said, necessity is the mother of invention. And we here at Inno-Pak are proud to offer affordable alternatives to the polypropylene food packaging.

Firstly, we’ve expanded our line of INNOBOX EDGE™ Inserts. Now, we have 3-taco, 2-compartment, and 3-compartment inserts. These inserts fit inside our #2, #3, and #4 INNOBOX EDGE™ sizes, and keep food separated. INNOBOX EDGE™ Inserts make it easy to package foods that could mix or spill onto each other.

These inserts are versatile to fit your needs. Like our Rigid Microwavable Containers, the INNOBOX EDGE™ Inserts keep your foods separate from each other, resist leaks, and are microwave-safe. The INNOBOX EDGE™ itself lets out steam to keep food sealed inside without the need for rubber bands.

Molded Fiber Containers

Another trend in packaging for 2023 will be the use of alternative materials like this image of molded fiber plates, bowls, and hinged containers.

We also have recyclable and compostable molded fiber containers. These bagasse containers are environmentally friendly, and they come in many different shapes and sizes to suit your needs. We have plates, compartment plates, deep compartment plates, bowls, and hinged containers in white or natural, unbleached brown. You can stack or nest them, and they resist cuts and grease.

Then, there’s our soup cups, which are perfect for hot and cold foods. These cups come in profiles from squat to tall and sizes from 6 to 32 ounces. They come in materials ranging from Kraft to white to our Fresh Flavor™ line and more. Soup cups organize and keep foods separate and can even be used as deli containers for olives, fruit, corn, salads, and other foods.

As always, thank you for being our customer. We founded Inno-Pak on two principles—innovation and customer relationships—and it always will be. Together, we will get through these uncertainties.
